Lurf MUSEUN
Alternative spaces are art spaces that are larger than art galleries and smaller than art museums. With a moderate size and fewer restrictions on exhibits, alternative spaces allow artists to develop flexible, free expression and experimental experimentation. The Lurf MUSEUN aims to support artists as an alternative space, while providing visitors with a place to enjoy the live atmosphere of a creative space.
Located a 3-minute walk from Daikanyama Station in Tokyo, the Lurf MUSEUN features a museum-sized alternative space with a ceiling height of 4 meters and a café space furnished with vintage Danish furniture from the 1930s, where hand-drip coffee is brewed one cup at a time. Visitors can spend a relaxing and comfortable time while viewing the art. There is also a store where you can purchase goods from the artists. We aim to create a new place for artists and people to continue their dialogue.
