Kitakamakura Yoh Shomei Art Museum
The world of picture book artist, Yoh Shomei world is filled with spacious green meadows and transparent blue skies, as well as houses, trees, and animals painted in isolation. His painting style, which was called "painting the air" by Takashi Yanase, has won the support of many people, and to this day, his paintings still bring the wind to the viewer's heart and make them feel tender.
The museum exhibits watercolors, oil paintings, drawings, drawings, handwritten words, and picture books on a variety of themes by Shoei Ip. About 80 paintings are on display at any one time, with six special exhibitions on the first floor and rooms on the second floor where you can see his work from season to season.
