Mabori Biological Garden

Mabori Biological Garden is located in the eastern part of the Miura Peninsula, on a 3.8-hectare site in a mountain forest facing Tokyo Bay. Blessed with a rich natural environment and with the cooperation of citizen volunteers, the park is engaged in the conservation of the natural environment and the restoration of the waterfront environment, as well as the cultivation of plants and animals that have become rare on the Miura Peninsula. Representative trees of the Miura Peninsula such as the tabunoki tree, sudajii (Castanopsis cuspidata var. sieboldii), and Oshima cherry (Oshima cherry tree) grow here, and fireflies, and salamanders are also found in the park.
