Yokosuka museum of art
The museum was built at the eastern end of the Miura Peninsula, in the scenic Kannonzaki. In addition to a variety of special exhibitions six times a year, there are also exhibitions of selected items from the collection of about 5,000 pieces of Japanese modern art, and in the Taniuchi Rokurou Gallery, which has a nostalgic atmosphere, the works of Taniuchi Rokurou are introduced four times a year with changing exhibits. The attraction of the museum is its rich natural environment, unique architecture, and outstanding view of the surrounding area, which has been selected as a superb art museum. The restaurant Aquamare, which serves Italian cuisine made from local ingredients, and the museum store, which sells original goods, are also popular.
