Verny Commemorative Museum
French engineer François Léonce Verny (1837-1908) helped modernize Japan by guiding the construction of modern facilities such as the Yokosuka Arsenal, the Yokosuka Naval Facility Dock and Lighthouse, and the Yokosuka Iron Works. Its exhibits Verney's achievements and the significance of the Yokosuka Ironworks.
