Tokyo Arts and Space (TOKAS) Hongo
Tokyo Arts and Space (TOKAS) is an arts center dedicated to the creation and promotion of contemporary artistic expression from Tokyo, and supports a wide spectrum of artistic activities including crossover and experimental projects.
Since its opening in 2001, TOKAS Hongo has served as the presentation venue for the wide variety of TOKAS programs, ranging from exhibitions, performances, concerts, workshops and the like. Based in a building built in 1928 with a quaint atmosphere and a long history of use as a vocational school and the Education Bureau office, we aim to implement programs in the contemporary spirit that promote creativity.
In addition to TOKAS Hongo, various creators from Japan and abroad participate in the Artists-in-Residence Program at TOKAS Residency in Sumida Ward (ku.)
