The name 21_21 DESIGN SIGHT comes from our desire to be a place where people can see beyond their own eyesight. It is. Our name is "21_21 DESIGN SIGHT", which translates as "Two One Two One Design Site".
21_21 DESIGN SIGHT is a place to think about various events and things through design, to communicate to the world, and to make proposals. It aims to foster understanding and interest in design by bringing together designers, engineers, artisans, companies, the general public, and many other people.
Through a multifaceted program of talks and workshops, 21_21 DESIGN SIGHT focuses on exhibitions with the theme of "everyday life", allowing visitors to experience the joy of design and to have a fresh and surprising experience. Many of these exhibitions are directed by designers.
Design makes life fun and enriching and opens up possibilities for thinking and action. 21_21 DESIGN SIGHT is a base for discovering and creating the future of design as a culture.
