Bunkamura Orchard Hall

Orchard Hall is one of the largest halls in Japan that uses the shoebox type. The high, flat ceiling (about 20 meters high) and large, vertical side walls reflect sound over and over again, creating a massive and rich sound field. In addition to its function as a concert hall, it also functions as a theater by moving the movable acoustic shelter on the stage. This is the pinnacle of a convertible hall that can provide different genres of music in one space, including classical concerts, opera, ballet, and popular concerts.
