Gunma Museum of Art, Tatebayashi
The Gunma Museum of Art, Tatebayashi opened on October 26, 2001 as the second prefectural art museum. In addition to special exhibitions and collection exhibitions of domestic and foreign works from the Gunma Prefecture collection, the museum conducts various educational and dissemination programs. Based on the theme of "Nature and Humanity," the museum collects domestic and foreign works that express the various relationships between nature and human beings, such as harmony, symbiosis, and confrontation, with the basic aim of collecting works that will help people understand the rich history of modern and contemporary art.
