Iwumura Kazuo picture book hill art museum
The museum's collection mainly includes works by Kazuo Iwamura, a world-renowned picture book author known for his "14-Hiki Series" (Doshinsha) and "Korisu Series" (Shiko-sha). He received the Picture Book Nippon Award, the Shogakukan Picture Award, the Sankei Children's Publishing Culture Award, and the Kodansha Publishing Culture Award for Picture Books, and was awarded the Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in 2014.
The Kazuo Iwamura Museum of Picture Book Art has three exhibition spaces, a small hall, a reading corner, a store selling picture books and goods, and a tea room where visitors can enjoy homemade cakes. The facility is also designed to be barrier-free for visitors with children.
