Musashino Art University Museum & Library

The Musashino Art University Museum & Library, which opened in 1967, collects and preserves art works and design materials, constructs databases, plans and organizes exhibitions, and publishes catalogues. The museum's collection of over 40,000 items, including approximately 30,000 posters and 400 modern chairs, is socially significant as a valuable basic resource for design research.
In the spring of 2011, the museum reopened as a new symbol of the university, and has been actively disseminating information through a wide range of exhibitions while further enhancing its educational and research functions.
