Machida City Museum of Graphic Arts
Opened in 1987, Machida City Museum of Graphic Arts is one of the few museums in the world that specializes in prints. The museum has a collection of about 30,000 prints from all over the world, from Japan's oldest known prints from the Nara period to ukiyo-e, Dürer, Rembrandt, Picasso, Yokoo Tadanori, Kusama Yayoi and others.
The museum also has a workshop where visitors can make prints, which is not only a pleasure to look at but also a pleasure to create. The museum is located in a park with lush greenery, a short distance from the city center, where visitors can enjoy the natural beauty of the four seasons and special exhibitions of prints.
