Fumiko Hayashi Memorial Hall
This building preserves and opens to the public the house where Fumiko Hayashi, a writer known for her representative works such as "Wandering Chronicles" and "Floating Clouds", lived from August 1941 until her death on June 28, 1951. Designed by Bunzo Yamaguchi, the house has both the characteristics of the Kyoto-style Sukiya-zukuri house and the generous nature of a private house. You can also see the attention to detail in the tea ceremony room, bath, toilet and kitchen.
