WHAT MUSEUM

"WHAT," which opened in Tennozu, Tokyo on Saturday, December 12, 2020, is an art and culture facility that aims to showcase the valuable artworks that Terada Warehouse Co. We searched for the ideal art facility from the perspective of a warehousing company, and what we found was an art exhibition facility where visitors can encounter artworks collected by Japan's leading collectors based on their own value standards.

The name of the facility, WHAT (Warehouse of Art Terrada), reflects the unique concept of "opening up a warehouse to allow visitors to take a peek at art that is not usually seen. We will create a new space for viewing the works of artists active in the contemporary art scene, along with the thoughts of collectors.

The Architectural Warehouse Museum, the forerunner of WHAT, which has been storing and exhibiting artworks since 2016, has been renamed the "Architectural Warehouse Project" and continues to hold exhibitions and model storage tours related to architecture at the facility.

The Terada Warehouse Co., Ltd. is working to develop Tennozu into a major center for the arts through the operation of art and culture facilities such as PIGMENT TOKYO, an art materials laboratory, and TERRADA ART COMPLEX, the largest gallery complex in Japan, in addition to its main business of art storage, art restoration, transportation and delivery, and exhibition.
